Divine Queen: Power of Sun: BGaming’s new 97% RTP slot and its x128 cell multipliers explained

Short answer — BGaming released Divine Queen: Power of Sun on 1 October 2026, according to its official announcement. It is a pay-anywhere slot where 8 or more matching symbols win, with cascading refills and Cell Multipliers that double each time the same cell wins again, up to x128. The official game page lists an RTP of 97.00%, medium-high volatility and a maximum of x5,000 the stake. On a ₱20 spin that ceiling is ₱100,000, by our calculation.
It is the second game in the Divine Queen series after Divine Queen: Heart of Ice, and the two share the same RTP and the same x5,000 cap. What changed is the multiplier engine: the first game kept one multiplier reel at the side, the new one puts a multiplier into every cell. Below we set out what BGaming actually published, how the new mechanic works, what the printed statistics mean in pesos, and what is still not confirmed.
What did BGaming announce on 1 October 2026?
The BGaming news release (dated 1 October 2026) calls the title part of its #Entertainment line and describes a Sun Goddess character standing beside the reels in an “alternative future” Egyptian-style desert. For players the useful parts of the release are these:
- Wins are pay-anywhere: 8 or more matching symbols anywhere on the grid pay.
- After a win, winning symbols disappear and new ones fall in (BGaming calls this Refilling), and a multiplier appears in each emptied cell.
- If a cell is part of a winning combination again, its multiplier doubles, to a maximum of x128.
- The goddess is the Scatter; four or more trigger Free Spins.
- Buy options include Chance x10, Boosters that add Multiplier Cells, and direct entry to Free Spins or Super Free Spins, where every cell starts at x2.
- Volatility is medium-high, the maximum win is x5,000 the stake and the RTP is 97%.
BGaming’s game design team lead, Yana Drabianok, is quoted saying the Cell Multipliers provide “the chance for extended gameplay sequences and big wins”. That is the studio’s own description, not a measured result.
The official numbers, side by side with Heart of Ice
Both official game pages print a short statistics panel. We copied the fields exactly as shown on 22 October 2026. Nothing in the table below is estimated; where a field is missing, we say so.
| Field (as printed) | Power of Sun | Heart of Ice |
|---|---|---|
| Release date | Oct 01, 2026 | Nov 20, 2025 |
| RTP | 97.00% | 97% |
| Volatility | Medium-high | Medium-high |
| Max multiplier | x5000 | x5000 |
| Max win (operator cap shown) | EUR 250,000 | EUR 250,000 |
| Hit Rate | 3.96 | 3.30 |
| FS Rate | 234.2 | 250.24 |
| Lines | Pays Anywhere | Pays Anywhere |
| Grid size | not stated on the page | 6×5 |
| Multiplier engine | Cell Multipliers, doubling to x128 | Multiplier Reel; drop multipliers x3 to x500 |
| Chance feature | Chance x10 | Chance x2 |
Two things stand out. The headline figures — RTP, volatility label and x5,000 cap — are identical, so the sequel is not a “bigger” game on paper. And the two pages print different Hit Rate and FS Rate values. The pages do not define these units. Read in the usual way, as “one event per N spins on average”, Power of Sun would pay on fewer spins (about 1 in 4) than Heart of Ice (about 1 in 3.3) but reach Free Spins slightly more often (about 1 in 234 against 1 in 250). Treat that reading as our interpretation, not BGaming’s wording.
How do the Cell Multipliers actually work?
The game page describes the cycle in three steps. A spin pays every symbol that appears 8 or more times anywhere on the grid. The winning symbols vanish, the rest fall, and new symbols drop in from above; this repeats until no new win forms. Each cell that held a winning symbol gets a multiplier, and each later win on the same cell doubles it, up to x128.
In the base game the multipliers last only for the current spin. In Free Spins, the page says, they “remain in their cells until the end of the Bonus round”, so a cell that has grown in an early free spin can keep boosting wins later in the round. That is the main reason this type of game swings more in the bonus than in normal play.

From x2, the starting value BGaming gives for Super Free Spins, a cell needs six more wins to reach the x128 cap (x2, x4, x8, x16, x32, x64, x128). The Booster mode can start spins with “specific (x32)” Cell Multipliers, which is four doublings up the same ladder. The page does not say what value a new cell receives in the base game, or how several multiplied cells in one winning cluster are combined. Those two details decide how large a typical win is, so check the in-game rules screen before drawing conclusions.
How is that different from Heart of Ice?
In Divine Queen: Heart of Ice there is one Multiplier Reel to the right of a 6×5 grid. It starts each spin at x1, rises by +1 with every win, and is boosted by multiplier symbols worth x3 to x500 that land in the same spin as a win. The final value multiplies the total win of the spin and then resets. In Free Spins the reel keeps growing until the round ends; 4, 5 or 6 Scatters give 10, 12 or 14 Free Spins.
So the older game concentrates everything in one number that can jump with a big multiplier symbol, while the new game spreads smaller multipliers over many cells that grow only by repeated wins in the same place. Both pages agree on one bonus detail: 3 or more Scatters during Free Spins add 5 more spins.
What do the numbers mean in pesos? (our calculation)
All peso figures below are our calculation from the printed values. They are long-run averages or ceilings, not predictions for a session.
| Question | Inputs | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Ceiling on a ₱20 spin | ₱20 × 5,000 | ₱100,000 |
| Long-run cost per ₱10,000 wagered | ₱10,000 × (100% − 97%) | ₱300 |
| Winning spins in 500 spins, if Hit Rate means 1 in N | 500 ÷ 3.96 vs 500 ÷ 3.30 | about 126 vs about 152 |
| Average stake between Free Spins triggers at ₱20 | ₱20 × 234.2 vs ₱20 × 250.24 | ₱4,684 vs ₱5,005 |
| Bet implied by the EUR 250,000 cap | EUR 250,000 ÷ 5,000 | EUR 50 per spin |
| EUR 250,000 in pesos | × 71.121 PHP per EUR (ECB, 21 Oct 2026) | about ₱17.78 million |
The exchange rate is the European Central Bank’s euro reference rate for the Philippine peso, 71.121 on 21 October 2026. The EUR 250,000 figure is the largest win at the maximum bet; a ₱20 player is limited by the x5,000 multiplier, not by that euro amount.
The ₱300 figure is the important one for budgeting. A 97% RTP means the game is designed to return ₱9,700 of every ₱10,000 staked over a very large number of spins; 500 spins at ₱20 is exactly ₱10,000 of turnover. In a real session the result can be far above or below that, and with medium-high volatility most sessions will not land near the average. A 97% RTP is also the figure on BGaming’s page; an operator may offer a different RTP setting, which is why the in-game information screen is the number to trust.
Buy features: what is printed and what is not
The game page lists five purchase or boost options: Bonus Rebuy (repeat the last bought feature at the same price), Chance x10 (ten times the chance of triggering Free Spins), Booster modes (spins that start with random or x32 Cell Multipliers, at a higher bet), and direct purchase of Free Spins or Super Free Spins. It says the prices are “pictured” and “adjust to your bet”, but no price multiple is printed in text. We therefore cannot calculate what a bought bonus costs relative to the base bet, and we do not guess it.
A practical point: every option that raises the bet also raises the speed at which money is spent. Chance x10 and the Boosters are not free improvements; they change the cost of each spin. If you use them, set the session budget in pesos first, then count how many spins that budget buys at the raised price.
What is still not confirmed
- The grid size of Power of Sun (the release and the page describe pay-anywhere wins of 8+ symbols but give no reel count).
- The number of Free Spins awarded for 4, 5 or 6 Scatters; only the +5 retrigger is printed.
- The base-game starting value of a new Cell Multiplier and how multiple multiplied cells in one win combine.
- Buy prices, and whether any alternative RTP settings exist.
- Which platforms in the Philippines offer the game. BGaming says it is available “on bgaming.com or an iGaming platform of your choice”; we have not verified any specific Philippine operator.
Before you play in the Philippines
Online gaming in the Philippines is for adults aged 21 and over. Play only on a platform licensed by the regulator, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation, and use the tools on PAGCOR’s responsible gaming page, including self-exclusion, if play stops being entertainment. A demo is a good way to see the Cell Multipliers move before any real stake: BGaming links a free demo from the official game page.
Our view: Power of Sun is a sequel that keeps the series’ 97% RTP and x5,000 ceiling but trades the single big multiplier reel for many small, growing cell multipliers. If you liked Heart of Ice for its sudden x500 drops, expect a different rhythm here, built on repeated wins in the same cells, especially in Free Spins.
